19, 2008) -- Coming to Montgomery, September 27-28, the
NHRA Dixie
Heads-Up series will be contested at 1/8th mile tracks in the Division.
The series will consist of 6 events with 4 classes per event. There will be
a 6.0 class, 7.0 class, and two 4.70 classes-Top Modified and Pro Dragster.
The host tracks will be Emerald Coast Dragway, Huntsville Dragway,
Montgomery Motorsports Park, Music City Raceway, NW Tennessee
Motorsports Park and US 19 Dragway.
After points are tracked for the entire 6 event series, a Division
Champion for each class will receive a Champions Wally Trophy, jacket, and
Gold card for the upcoming season.
Four index Classes: 6.0, 7.0, 4.70 Bodied, and 4.70 Dragsters
All run a .4 Pro tree ~ No break out allowed

Only full bodied
vehicles with full fenders, top, and operating doors. No roadsters
or altereds

All cars must meet the ET Rules as outlined in the NHRA 2008 Rules Book,
no timed throttle or rpm controls.
All run qualified fields, laddered top to bottom each round. The first bye goes
so the number 1 qualifier. The round the first bye is used will determine the
next bye run. All subsequent byes are given based on the closest to the index
without breaking out. All bye runs earned are kept until used.Top

The quickest 32 cars on a 4.70 Index without breaking out, qualified field, pro
ladder, 1 runs 32, 2 runs 31, etc.
Points
Competitors in each of the four classes will earn points as outlined on the
top of page 53 of the 2008 NHRA Rule Book.
No qualifying points will be
awarded. Points from
all six races will count for the Division Championship. Any tiebreakers will
be settled as outlined in the NHRA Competition and Policy Procedure Manual.
Lane choice in round 1 will be determined by the best qualified car. After round
1 lane choice is determined by the vehicle closest to the index without breaking
out.
