(Nov.
17, 2008) -- PINKS ALL OUT brought a new level of racing
excitement to MMP and broke records in the process.
While official attendance figures have not been
posted, MMP Promoter Jim Howard says the crowd Friday and Saturday
easily eclipsed the previous high attendance mark of over 5,000 set
several years ago when drag racing legend Shirley Muldowney came to MMP.
“The fans were great, ignoring the windy weather
Saturday and providing a great backdrop for the SPEED Channel cameras. A
crew of 100 used dozens of cameras to capture all the action, including
lots of interviews with racers and spectators.
The episode shot Saturday night will be the 2009
Season debut for PINKS ALL OUT and is expected to be aired in March. “We
are delighted that Speed Channel and Rich Christensen thought so much of
MMP that they decided to shoot two of their top-rated programs, Pass
Time and PINKS ALL OUT, here this year,” said Jim Howard. Rich
Christensen, the creator and host of Pinks and PINKS ALL OUT, will be
back at MMP January 2-3 for another new show, Armdrop Live.
Other upcoming events at Montgomery Motorsports
Park include the Turkey Trots big bucks bracket race to be held November
27-30. Test and Tune sessions will be held at MMP on this coming Friday
nights and Sunday afternoons. In December, the track will be open for
Sunday afternoon Test and Tunes.
